
Ruth Lanell Morgan McKelvy Ruth Lanell Morgan McKelvy was called home to the Lord on July 17, 2008, after a brief but a courageous battle with cancer. Ruth was a third child and youngest daughter born to L.C. and Lucille Morgan in Glenmora, Louisiana on August 22, 1950. She moved to Brazoria County with her family and attended school in Lake Jackson, Texas where she made many cherished friends.
On October 23, 1971, Ruth married the love of her life, Harry and they soon made their home in Brazoria, Texas and raised their three daughters. Ruth treasured the memories she had spending time with her family including her precious grandbabies which she spoiled immensely. She loved gardening and redecorating her home and appreciated the many projects Harry worked on for her around the house. She held an extremely close relationship with each of her daughters and will be greatly missed.
Ruth is survived by her parents, L.C. and Lucille Morgan; beloved husband of 37 years, Harry; three daughters, Alison Geserick, Lorie Lowery and husband, Kirby, Ashley Reyes and husband, Lester. She had five precious grandchildren, Cody Geserick, Madison Lowery, Camryn Reyes, Makayla Lowery and Alivia Reyes; brother, Charles Morgan and wife, Pat, brother, Tommy and wife, Sandy and sister, Carol Ballard.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the Palliative Care unit at MD Anderson in Houston and the Hospice Care Team in Lake Jackson and the many friends and family members that visited Ruth during her illness. She truly appreciated your visits, gifts and prayers. A Memorial Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lake Jackson on Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at 4 p.m.
