Jeannie was a dear friend to me and I'm still in touch with Joe and her daughter, Kim. We sponsor a Jeannie Miller Memorial Golf tournament in her honor each spring. It's March 27th at the Bandit GC in New Braunfels.

I remember Jeannie back in O A Flemming Elementary when her last name was still Garner. Her mom took her friends to Houston for Jeannie's birthday party. It was the first time I was ever on ice skates. All through school she was my friend and over these past 50 plus years I still think of that little blond headed girl helping me up off of the ice. Perhaps she still is.
