I first met Jim in Junior High. All of us could not wait for the day that we could have or own a car (or even just have our license if we couldn’t afford a car). Jim’s was the first car that a classmate of mine owned that I ever sat in. I can’t remember the make or model now, but it was a classmate’s car so it was a thing of beauty. I remember how proud Jim was of it, and he had a right to be. Owning one’s own car was a rite of passage. Jim was fun to be around, and a good friend.
