Hey everyone! I love the dialogue. It has brought back a flood of memories today.
I have a group picture of the Miss Johnson's kindergarten class at Valley Institute! I may have to scan that one in and post it.
Jenine, I think you were in that picture and if I recall (I haven't looked at it in a while), you were looking shy on the front row!
I am a pack rat and still have all kinds of stuff from way back then! I will have to see what I can dig out and share!
I have my yearbooks on a bookshelf in my office and I just found The Last Will and Testament of The Class of '88 and some of the issues of the Trojan Voice!
I don't think John Battle has EVER been the same since we rolled through there!

Hey Todd, did you ever know that you and I are like 2nd or 3rd cousins? LOL! My grandmother was Viola Bowman. Ask your Dad, my Dad is Sammy.

Also, Jody Chapman is my step-cousin! His Mom married my Uncle when we were like 6 or 7! Gotta track him down and tell him to put up some pictures, he has 4 kids now!

Hey all, I just added a few pictures from graduation day and of course the gang at the 10 year reunion. Good times!! I will have to do some more digging too. :)

Jenine Murray (Smith)

Hey Nikki, if you do still have that picture I would love to see it. I'm sure my kids would get a real good laugh out of it.

Hey guys! Glad you are liking the photobucket idea. I have a bunch I will upload probably next week sometime. I have some prior engagements this weekend that will keep me tied up for a bit, but I will be putting some on there soon.

Ok, here are some fair rules for the jsbclassof88 page.....
Please don't delete any pics that someone else has posted(no matter what they are). You can delete any you have posted. You are all welcome to save them for your own enjoyment as well, I know I will be. Upload as many as you like! Have fun with it, I think it will be fun just looking back at ourselves 20+ years ago!!!

Nikki, I think I may have to come visit your spa after the 12 hour drive it will take us to get there!!!

I just found a picture of Donna and me at the Senior prom. Wasn't the "motto" (or whatever) of it "Up Where We Belong"? Good Lord

Anyway, I added a few more pictures to the photobucket site. That's all from me for now, it doesn't take long to get sick of my face.

05/30/08 06:34 AM #45

Shannon Vickers (Eldreth)

Hey Robert. What's up? Hey don't leave, no one is getting sick of your face!

I was thinking about our mottos this morning too. LOL! The motto to that prom was "When I'm With You" ...99.9% sure :) The song was by Sheriff.... I think the prom BEFORE when you guys were juniors was "Up Where We Belong".

Somehow ( wink wink ) Jeff and I have Tamatha Griffith's yearbook for '87, and I think it is in there? Or maybe it was in ours ( '88 ) I don't remember right now, it's too early ;)

And our class song by Whitesnake, "Here I Go Again"...Good Lord is right...what were we thinking? LOL!!!

05/30/08 08:53 AM #46

Shannon Morefield

Well Shannon, you know it was the 80's...(lol) and all I was thinking was that the lead singer of Whitesnake was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOTT!!!!!! LOL......sometimes I wonder about how I even made it though high school!!!

05/30/08 09:05 AM #47

Shannon Vickers (Eldreth)

True, so true!!! We did think we were such hot stuff too, when we all marched into the auditorium to that song to watch the Talent Show that morning! We were just a bunch of nuts, huh? :)

05/30/08 09:07 AM #48

Angela Gilbert (Walden)

""And our class song by Whitesnake, "Here I Go Again"...Good Lord is right...what were we thinking? LOL!!!""

That is too funny you said that, I was just thinking about that the other day. I think we just picked it cause it was a popular song back in the day!!

About the only thing I remember besides marching in for the talent show was the guys singing and dancing to Welcome to the Jungle, just like they did in the video, crazy dancing and all.

05/30/08 10:00 AM #49

Patti Silcox (Hubbard)

Yes I think you are right, we picked that song cause it was so popular and David Coverdale was hot!!! Of course now a days, he's not so hot - just old!! hahaha

Shannon Morefield

I remember voting on our class song....just cant remember what our other options were!!! I think we did a good job though, it was an appropriate song for us....going out into the BIG BAD WORLD ON OUR OWN!!! Even today when I hear that song it makes me remember graduation like it was yesterday!!!

05/30/08 12:31 PM #51

Will Mullins

I think our other options for class song were Life In The Fast Lane by the Eagles and Come Sail Away by Styx, and most people went with the Whitesnake song because it was more current. I don't know why the ballot wasn't full of current stuff or at least some Zeppelin if we were going to choose older songs, but that's what I remember.

05/30/08 01:00 PM #52

Shannon Morefield

Dang Will.....you have a good memory!!! & I agree, we should have had more current options, but oh well. But you guys KNOW that we need to play Whitesnake at the reunion!!!!!

05/30/08 01:10 PM #53

Shannon Vickers (Eldreth)

Shannon, YES we do need to play it then. It also brings back a flood of memories for me when I hear it. And you took the words right out of my mouth, Will...what an amazing memory! I am lucky to remember where my car keys are in the morning!

05/30/08 05:42 PM #54

Jenine Murray (Smith)

Shannon, I agree with you too. To this day every time I hear that song I think about our senior year and graduation too. We definitely need to play it at the reunion.

Shannon Morefield

Ok, I just checked the Reunion Details and looks like our Sat night Reunion Date has been set...as for the Sunday Family Picnic..is still undecided...I say, have it @ Sugar Hollow...Not only is it right next to the school, but there is also adequate shelters, a playground for the smaller kids and anything else we would need!! Just my personal opinion...gotta put my 2 cents in! LOL

Kelly Little (Huffstetler)

Great minds think alike!:) Bonnie Mignogna Monyak was working on getting Sugar Hollow for us and she did. She's confirming with them today

This is a perfect time too put a plug in for getting hte money in. We don't have any money to start with, and in order for us to be able lock in our sites, we have to pay deposits. So- if you've already sent it in THANK YOU(Patti:)). If not, please try to do that soon.

Any chance of having a paypal address to send the money to, not all of us use checks anymore.
_____________________________________________________________

Also another plug, if you havent seen the message, I have made us a photobucket account for us to upload our high school pics of our classmates.
You can see the pics at http://photobucket.com/jsbclassof1988
If you would like to add your own pics, just login with jsbclassof88 and the password is reunion. We are going to take what we get and make a dvd to show at the reunion.

I'll let Ken respond to the Paypal idea. I know he's putting a lot of time and work into taking care of the budget and payments. If he can't do it, most banks will cut you a counter check for free.

06/02/08 06:41 PM #59

Angela Gilbert (Walden)

Yeah, getting a cashiers check wont be an issue, just wondering about it is all.

Has anything been posted in the Bristol Newspapers about the reunion/website for those that are still living in town?

06/02/08 10:01 PM #60

Ken Monyak

Just so everyone knows, I WILL be pursuing a PayPal account, just not tonight!! I should have it available by Friday (June 6). I will post a bulletin when you can send money to that account. Let's get that money rolling in as soon as possible. The sooner the better.
