After B.C. I went to MSOE and graduated 1970. I ended up in Florida in 1972, after a couple of short stays at a machine tool manufacturer in Belvidere, IL and a printing press manufacturer in Butler, for four plus years working as an applications engineer at a fluid power distributor. My father owned a business in Waukesha and tried to get me to move back to Wisconsin and work with him the entire time I was in Florida. I met my wife, Jan, in 1975 (a Wisconsin girl from Shawano). We married in May of '76 and I moved her to Florida just in time for the summer (HOT!) of '76. The prospect of educating kids in Florida was pretty scary (Lousy schools), so in December of '76 (just in time for Wisconsin's winter) we moved back so I could join my dad in his manufacturing business. The carrot he dangled to get me to return to Wisconsin was an instrument rating in his Beechcraft Bonanza he used to cover North America. I started flying in high school and the instrument rating was something I coveted. So for the next 32 years we made a go of it making and selling special machines used to service bulldozer track systems systems all over the world. Two years ago I was approached by a competitor to join forces, which we did, and I now work for them as a project engineer. Life is simple and good, and I've been blessed with a great wife and family. All of you should be so fortunate! My sons and I hunt and fish together and enjoy making trips to awesome places in the US & Canada.
