School Story:
After graduating from Bellport High School in 1989, I wanted to take a year off, But to my knowledge my mom had other plans. She insisted I continue at Briarcliffe College where I obtained my Associates Degree in Secretarial Science. I started working, I started working as an home health aide, then became certified as a Nursing Assistant and started working at Long Island St. Vets Home, and the Hospital. I took a couple of classes at BOCES for the LPN program and completed Level I of the Nursing program but never graduated. I decided in 2003 to go back to Briarcliffe college and earn my Bachelors in Business Administration I graduated in 2005 and decide to move to Charlotte, North Carolina. I was hired as a Supervisor/Program Specialist for Children and Adults with developmental disabilities.
I attended the University of Phoenix in Charlotte, and graduated with my Masters in Healthcare Administration. I am currently in my 4th class and 5th week of my PHD program in Healthcare Administration with the University of Phoenix. I am so looking forward to this degree so that I can contribute to my surrouding community.
I took Obama's advice and for the first time in my life I decided to give back to my community by volunteering. I will start my orientation after I come back from my first residency in Phoenix Arizona this May. I will be working with children and families through the court system that have been abused.
