6 days after graduation I joined the Army, in Kansas City. Went to Leonard wood Mo, left there and went to Ft. Gordon, GA., left there and went to Pan Mun Jom, Korea, left there after 3 years. And proceeded to Vietnam, and left there after 3 and 1\2 years. Finally came home, and to Ft Sill, OK. Left there and proceeded to Germany. left there and went to White Sands Missle Range, NM, in 1978.
I got out of active Army, and joined the Army Reserves as a Armor Mechanic. I spent 27 years with them when the Gov't mandatory retired me,at age 60.
I went to Police Academy at Hutchinson, and became the Police Chief of Satanta, ks, for ten years. Drove a maintainer for ten years for Haskkel County. I moved to Wichita, and went to work for USD #259, these last 17 years, and still going. There is a lot of part-time work involved in between jobs. Farming, construction, I took a class too become a EMT, not because I wanted, but because I was getting called out as a police officer, and getting there 20 to 30 minutes ahead of my emergency vehicles. Grain hauler, concrete finisher, curb and guttering in Wichita. I just don't know what I will do if I retired. I get to talk to the elder, in this job, around the YMCA,s and they would be working if someone would hire them. I told them that I was not quitting until the school tells me I can't do the job anymore.

Traveling to Arizona, and the western states.

Work, drive farm tractor, feed ,and milk the cows. Then sit down and think of some of the things I wanted To do and never got to them.
I do a lot of reading, playing with trains with my great grand son.

Work,work,work, don't slow down for anyone, life will do that soon enough.
