Comments:
One comment I must say, that I am sure many others can relate to. If I could go back and do it all again, yet change some things, I would do it. Only if I could keep my knowledge of today, jump into a Delorean and get up to 88mph (80's movie trivia).
I know there are lots of people I more than likely crossed wrong, and I would love to be able to tell them how truely sorry I am. I know that the days of HS are long since gone, but at the same time there are still things that linger.
I am sure we have all went down the roads laid before us to have a great life. I know I have. Everything is in the past and we all have wonderful futures planned. I wish everyone of you the best in the years to follow.
Sorry for the little rant. Sometimes I get caught up telling my thoughts on the keyboard, since I am not very good at speaking them. I am not one to like to hurt a persons feelings, and I dislike confrontation. So unless it is a major, and I do mean major issue, a email is the way to break the ice. If there needs to be more reslolution, I would be more than happy to continue in person or on the phone.
I do have alot of fond memories of some friends I met the 2 years I was at HHS. There are actually a few people I have mantained contact with since I left in 86. I just wish this wonderful thing we call the internet was around back in the days of the Commodor 64. It took me some time to find a few friends, but I am glad I did.
I am soooo glad I found this site. I just hope some more friends will find me here.
So with all the out of the way, here is what I have been doing since 1989.....
After I left Seattle to go to Panama City, FL. to live with my mom and step-father (HUGE mistake) I joined the Navy 2 weeks after graduation. In the Navy I was trained to do Aviation Anti-submarine warfare (track hostile enemy submarines) using radar and sonar from an airborn platform (E2C Hawkeye, P3 Orion, and S3 Viking al fixed wing). My main job in the Navy when not flying fixed wing, I was trained as a Rescue Swimmer (watch The Guardian with Kevin Costner and Astin Kutcher). So basically I would jump out of a perfectly good helicoptor to save a pilot that was obviously in some sort of danger.
I was stationed on board carriers most of the time, and served a tour in Operation Desert Shied on the USS America.
After the Navy, I moved back to my mom and step dads to get established. This was in Tulsa, OK. where I started in Radio. After a short stay in Tulsa, I moved to St. Louis to continue broadcasting. Stayed there for about 2 years.
Moved to Alabama, to help my once again divorced mother work something out. Work at a radio station there, and was alo host of a comedy club on Thursdays nights for about 3 years.
Met (who I thought was a nice lady) moved to Kalamazoo, only to find out I could not stand her moms boyfriend, so we took a train back to Seattle. Got married, then about 8 months later she decided she missed her mom, packed her bags and the cat and left.
Wel after working for KUBE 93 for about 2 years. I once again had to move back to Alabama. Heard my mommy calling. Well that was enough. I met a wonderful lady there who was a teacher, non-smoker, no children, and her own apartment. We knew we had something. We made it work. Started dating in '99 married on '00 and still together to this day. Now living in NW Georgia, and I work in Chattanooga, TN.
That was pretty much it in a nutshell. I could go on and on, but I won't. Short and sweet past few year run down.....
Clear Channel in small markets (NOT WORTH IT). Been doing short term jobs while I finished school.
Did some graphic design for the largest franchise sign company in the world (Sign-a-Rama) for 5 years. Decide it was not for me when the boss tole me he could not give a yearly raise, then the next guy cam out five minutes later with a $1.50 hour raise. Punched out, and left. Now I am a supplier for HVAC and plumbing contractors in Chattanooga, TN and have been doing that for the past 2 years. Love it !
If anything else comes up I will make sure to put in on here. Hope you all enjoyed my many chapters in life. I just hope it has a happy ending, and so far it is looking good.
