Comments:

I am married and have a nine year old son, Jacob. My husband David is the football coach at Turrentine Middle School, and Jacob is his team manger. So, every Thursday afternoon, during football season, you will find me cheering on the Trojans!
When I was at UNC-G, I went to work for Mary Kay Cosmetics. After my husband and I were married, I quit my job and went full time with Mary Kay. I really enjoyed it, but decided to resign from my position in 2005 to go into ministry.
I took an administrative position at First Baptist Burlington in June of 2005. In January of this year I became the Associate Pastor of Administration and Communication. It’s a job I love a lot.
I feel very fortunate to have a good husband, a good son, and a job I love!

School Story:

I have a lot of good memories of high school. What I have been thinking about lately is what I know now that I wish I had known then. So, I made a list.
Things I know now that I wish I had known then
1. I wish I had known that you don’t have to be a great dancer to have a great time at a dance.
2. I wish I had known that my mom was right when she said, “Just be yourself.”
3. I wish I had known that if you get pulled for speeding, and you cry to get out of a ticket, and it works, then you should wait until the officer is out of earshot before you brag to your passenger about how smooth you are.
4. I wish I had known how quickly time passes by.
5. I wish I had known that I would regret the things I didn’t do, more than I would regret the things I did do. I would have taken more risks, made more friends, had more fun, and auditioned for the musicals.
6. I wish I had known that if you are running for class councilman, the night before you give your big speech is NOT the best time to get a new perm.

We love the log ride at Kings Dominion. Clearly, we have ridden it a lot. We know the exact spot on the big drop where you get your picture taken.
