Jack L. "Cicco"

My wife Barb passed away on 6 April 2016 after a long illness. She fought till the very end. We would have been married 48 years on May the 9th. Both my sons, Vincent and Tony were with her at the end. May she rest in peace.

On graduation day my name was called and I went up to the podium to receive my diploma, only to find, after I was seated that there was no diploma in the nice document holder they gave us. There was a note from the principal stating if I wanted to receive my official diploma I would have to return to school and make up 8 hours for something I had done wrong. To this day I do not remember what that infraction was. I never dreamed they would have wanted me around for one more day. So there I was the next day sitting in a study hall for the 8 hours and only then was able to get the official document. Boy times have change from what I see today in our public education system. Two days later I was in Great Lakes, IL in Navy boot camp.
