I wish we had more information about Mary Lynn.  I met her at Jr. High and had several classes with her.  I remember having sewing class together with Miss Nankervis.  We were making pleated skirts.  Mary Lynn was much better at sewing than I and saved me many times when I jammed the machine or went rogue off the material.  She was so sweet and helpful.  I enjoyed her company immensely and we saw each other outside of school with the help of our parents who drove us back and forth.

I remember learning of her death after the first reunion.  I believe that she died from breast cancer.  I feel a closer bond with her as I, too, have had breast cancer. However, I was one of the fortunate to survive it.

Wish you were here, Mary Lynn.  Rest in peace, my sweet friend.   Carol Merrett Gilbert

Thanks for finding this information.  I commend your efforts!   I knew she died sometime either just after the 10th or just before the 20th reunion.  Again, thank-you.  Carol

Mary Lynn and I were the best of friends all through junior high and high school. Had lots of fun and did lots of crazy things (some things we should not have done). We went our separate ways after high school but kept in contact and would visit when we were both in Butte.  I have thought of her  many times over the years.  Such a shame that so many of our classmates are no longer living.
