Myron Walter Castren of Butte died at his home.
He was born in Butte on Feb. 10, 1946, to Walter and Helmi (Hill) Castren and attended local schools. After graduating from Butte High School, he attended Montana Tech and graduated in mining engineering.

Myron served his country in the Navy and following his discharge worked as a mining engineer in Idaho and Colorado.

He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Phil Mishkot; and numerous cousins, including Daisy Rahman of Butte.

In accordance with Myron's requests, his remains have been cremated in Butte and no services are planned.

Memorials: charity of the donor's choice.

A graveside memorial service for Myron W. Castren will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 11, at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
