In Memory Classmates

Joe Tobin

Joe Tobin

Joseph E. Tobin "Joe" passed away on Thursday morning, Jan. 26, 2012, at his home, from a heart attack.

He was born in Great Falls on July 14, 1946, to John and Dorothy Tobin. His family moved to Butte in 1952, where he attended schools. Joe graduated from the University of Montana, and then became an insurance adjuster in the family business, Tobin Adjustment Service. He then went on to work for other companies as an insurance adjuster and as an independent adjuster. For the last several years, Joe was a bellman at the Holiday Inn in Billings.

Joe enjoyed his time in the mountains and hunting. Even if he didn't get anything hunting, it was still a great day out exploring. Joe also enjoyed being with his grandkids, attending their sporting events and helping them along life's path.

Joe was preceded in death by his dad, John, on June 20, 1996; and his mom, Dorothy, on Jan. 10, 2012.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Shaun and Stephanie Tobin of Lawton, Okla.; his daughter Dawn of Laurel; his grandsons Jordan Baxter of Columbus and Nick Whittington of Billings; his brother, Jeff and Marie Tobin of Helena; and his special friend, Rita of Billings.

Joe has been cremated, with a private family service this summer. Memorials may be sent to Shriner's Children's Hospital.

Joe, you passed too early and you will be missed.

Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left online at www.michelottisawyers.com.
