Audra, sorry I am responding late to your posting a message to me. My son doesn't play anymore due to migrane and tension headaches. The pediatric neurologist for the children's hospital in Austin thought it would be a good idea that he doesn't play. So my son is concentrating on his grades...Yeeah! Rudder will be just fine when they all become Seniors. We will be champs in a couple of years. Those youngster are getting plenty of experience...they're 15 year old young men & maybe three or four 16 year olds.

I'm so sorry to hear about your son. I agree with you about Rudder I just hope they don't get discouraged they need to remember in a couple of years it will all be worth it. I agree, they are getting a lot of experience not only on the field, but in their character as well. We need to get together since we obviously live close to eachother. Call me!

How was your week? Hey all you camera crazy people I'm dying to see some pics. I actually wanted to do a scrapbook commemorating our 20 year milestone. Please post some as I was the loser who left my camera on my kitchen table.

Everyone,
Richard and I had a great time at the reunion, too! Seeing all of you again made the past 20 years melt away in an instant. During the planning phase, and certainly on Fri. and Sat. nights, I heard so many of you say how excited you were to re-connect with fellow classmates. I had assumed that a few of us would be interested in reuniting and that most people wouldn't care to come, but many, many of you genuinely wanted to catch up on others' lives and not draft away again. What a testament to our friendships. Our time together touched us deeply and formed the foundation of who we are today.

Here's to a wonderful 20th, with hope and anticipation for a wonderful 21st next year!

I have posted some pictures from the reunion on my profile page. Could not find any other place to post them at. I have plenty more but I was not sure where else to post them.

Thanks Yo for the pics. I heard Misty saying at the reunion that she was going to get her pics to John and then he would post them in the Photo Gallery, maybe you could do the same thing with the rest of yours. Just a suggestion. Although that hasn't occurred to date. It is 58 days and counting till we go to Disney World. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations?

I received this today, and I felt it was warranted to pass on especially in this world we are living in today: You are all Keepers!

A Keeper
Their marriage was good, their dreams focused. Their best friends lived barely a wave away. I can see them now, Dad in trousers, tee shirt and a hat and Mom in a housedress, lawn mower in one hand, and dish-towel in the other. It was the time for fixing things.. A curtain rod, the kitchen radio, screen door, the oven door, the hem in a dress. Things we keep.
It was a way of life, and sometimes it made me crazy. All that re-fixing, eating, renewing, I wanted just once to be wasteful. Waste meant affluence. Throwing things away meant you knew there'd always be more.
But then my mother died, and on that clear summer's night, in the warmth of the hospital room, I was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't any more.
Sometimes, what we care about most gets all used up and goes away...never to return.. So... While we have it... it's best we love it... And care for it.... And fix it when it's broken..... And heal it when it's sick.
This is true... For marriage.... And old cars.... And children with bad report cards...... Dogs and cats with bad hips.... And aging parents.... And grandparents. We keep them because they are worth it, because we are worth it. Some things we keep. Like a best friend that moved away or a classmate we grew up with.
There are just some things that make life important, like people we know who are special.... And so, we keep them close!
I received this from someone who thinks I am a 'keeper', so I've sent it to the people I think of in the same way...
Good friends are like stars.... You don't always see them, but you know they are always there
People are made to be Loved and Things are made to be Used There is so much confusion in this World because People are being Used and Things are being Loved.

Hi, everyone! Yolanda, thanks so much for putting those pics. on your profile. They remind me of how much fun we had!
I think Audra's right that only JOhn T. and I can put pics. into the photo gallery. Everyone else can put them only on their individual profiles.
If you want to mail me a CD with pictures on it, I'll put them in the photo gallery so everyone can view them. (Well, actually, Richard will do it because he's much better and quicker at that than I am. :)
Feel free to send me your pics. YOu can e-mail them, too, but you'll have to send a few at a time so the pics. don't overwhelm the e-mail.

I hope you're all doing well.
Mary

I would love to be there, Sting'Em Hornets! but Twilight is tonight, and then I am a chaperone for the Great All Nighter at The Rec Center from 12:30 -4:30 AM, yes I said AM I don't know how this old body is going to stay up all night, but I hope the energy from 300+ teenage boys and girls will rub off on me. Either that or sucking down Red Bull. Any suggestions are welcomed... BTW Where are all the pics from the reunion, so far Yogi is the only one that has posted.

Hey guys the game was not the outcome we wanted against West Orange Stark but the Hornets played hard, just against a superior opponent. Good to see Jeff McManus, Yolanda, Derek, Bobby, Jose and His wife, Jarvis Clark, Mrs. Chamberlane, Coach Goforth, Mr. Meckel or as we know him Coach Meckel, Mr. McManus, Dennis Englemann, Henry Washington that gets everyone to and from the games. The Hornets have a lot of talent 7th grade and up, so there will be more games to go to in the coming years. Congrats also to the Girls Volleyball team making it to the State Tourney. Hope to see you all real soon. Happy Belated Turkey Day also. jt.

Subject: Pay at the door

Hello,

The reunion is this Friday!!!! Just 4 days away! I can’t wait to see everyone. We wanted to inform everyone that class members that have not paid will be able to pay at the door. Anyone who would like to attend, but did not already register, payment will be accepted at the door both on Friday night and Saturday night at $25 per person or $40 per couple per night and the catered meal will not be provided. So if you know anyone that hasn’t paid let them know that they are welcome to attend and pay at the door if they still would like to see their classmates and have a good time.

Thank you!
