What a "blast from the past" to get a call at my office today from Rilio! Hopefully this is a successful reunion for us, I look forward to seeing and hearing from everyone.

It was fun sippin' a few beers, going through our class list and coming up with ideas for our 30 year reunion. I see Joe C. and Kevin F. often but, it was nice to talk with Rilio and Nancy H.
Hopefully each time we meet, more and more people will participate so we can get alot of ideas and hopefully make it easier to track down everyone in our class.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!!!

This is a great dynamic web site to bring the class back together. I still get together with Kevin Stermer and Dan Balog and I really look forward to seeing all of you. If help is needed in any way please let me know. I will also be available to attend any planning meetings.

Hey guys, you look great-like you've only been out of grade school for about 28 years!! Let us know the time and place of the next meeting. I haven't had a beer with Tom B since Kevins basement about 100 years ago!! Thanks, Bob O

I am so impressed with my memory. I think there are only 2 names of people I don't remember (but my husband does). I think getting together will be great. August 9 is best for me. Can I make a suggestion - how about stsrting off with attending mass at St. Victor? It would be interesting to see what the church looks like versus our memory.

Can't believe it. 30 years, wow. Aug 9th would work for me also, I work every other weekend. Would love to catch up on everyone. Missed the 10th reunion due to my brother getting married the same day. Oh well. Great pictures posted of everyone also! Thanks for all the work on this!

Hello to the Class of 78! It is hard to believe that it has been 30 years since we have graduated from SVS! I have enjoyed reading all of the profiles and seeing the photos from everyone. I recently came accross some old photos from the Dude Ranch trip, our production of Oliver, an awards banquet and a few other things. It really brought back a lot of fond memories. Thank you to the planning committee for taking the initiative to organize our reunion! Looks and sounds like you are having a lot of fun in the process. As for the potential dates, both August 2nd and Augst 9th work for me. I hope to see everyone there!

Both August 2nd & August 9th are good for me.

Hello classmates! I am looking forward to the reunion. It will be a bit harder to recognize everyone this time. Thanks for getting this going. I would prefer the August 9th date. Just recently found a box of mementos of our 8th grade at my dad's house. What a blast it was to look at all of that stuff again.

I hope to see you all in August.

Whoa...What happened to the August 2nd or 9th date?

The 16th might not be a possibility for me now

04/19/08 08:11 PM #19

Thomas Blahunka

We apologize to everyone about the date!! We had the 9th locked up but,we were then informed by the Legion that they had made a mistake in booking and we had to switch our date. The 2nd was already gone and, most other halls need a minimum of 125 to 150 people which we probably can't reach. So,that's how we arrived at the 16th.
We are very sorry for the change but, hopefully we can make this work!!

Are there any other options besides The American Legion?
Is this the only location being offered/considered?

04/22/08 09:43 PM #21

Thomas Blahunka

We called about 15 banquet halls in the Illinois/Indiana
region and most were already booked for July and August
(this is prime wedding season). Two halls that were still available had a minimum of 125 people on Fridays and 150 people on Saturdays. One hall, we would have had to clean the hall afterwards. With few options left we chose the Legion. The committee has spent alot of time and made many, many, many phone calls to organize this so, we hope everyone is understanding about our choice.

I think the committee is doing a great job. Who would have known in 1978 that so many people would grow up and still care about fellow students 30 years later? I am so impressed with the committee. Thanks for all your work.

When is the next "meeting" going to be? If the reunion is half as fun it will all be worth it. It was great seeing everyone.
