How was it that I lost track of you, my best friend, my first date and the boyfriend who was always there for me — no matter what and there were some ‘whats'. We made a handsome couple at all the school dances; don’t you think? You got voted best dancer; probably because we danced so much! Our high school years were the best!! We had so much fun with Sue, Gerry, and Tom — all the crazy fun times. I thought you would always be there for me but things changed and you were gone. You were off to Art school in Florida and I stayed in NY and went to school there. I met someone and you did as well.
I am so sorry and saddened that your life ended way way before it should have. My Mom use to say only the good die young. I guess that is why then — Only the Good Die Young. I am Catholic now and we believe that Souls never die, so you are not really gone. You are just in another place. Maybe we will meet again. I would like that.
How sad that yet another great friend is no longer here to talk to and cry with. Paula said the words perfectly. And yes, those were the good old days. I hope I see you again my friend and I hope you are still dancing. Miss you. Sue Sage
