Gail Hogan - Class Of 1958

Thomas Gail Hogan 81, of Cisco entered into his heavenly home March 15, 2021. Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday March 20, 2021 at Kimbrough Funeral Home Chapel with Revered C.P. Floyd officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Kimbrough Funeral Home. Visitation with family and friends Friday evening 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Gail was born October 15, 1939 in Carbon, Texas to Joe and Lolla Floy (Vines) Hogan. As he and his family grew up as a poor cotton farmer, The Lord provided for him. He attended Carbon Schools. On December 20, 1963 Gail married the love of his life and the rock of his foundation, Betty Jean Nance in Cisco, Texas. Betty preceded him in death in April of 2018. Gail served over 50 years with S. & M supply Company and Reynolds Manufacturing, located in downtown Cisco, Tx. Gail traveled many hours of countless miles all over Texas and parts of New Mexico and Oklahoma with the company. Any town that Gail and Betty Hogan would arrive at, someone knew who they were. Gail spent his later years enjoying his kids and grandkids to the fullest and at the utmost taking care of the love of his life, his wife. He would be known as a dedicated college football, basketball fan, as well as a Texas Ranger’s fan, while enjoying an ice cream sandwich or splitting a coke with Betty, but more importantly he was an example of what we are all to be called which is the hands and feet of Jesus. His testimony will lie forever on. Gail served as a deacon to East Cisco Baptist Church for many years.

Survivors are his daughters Lana Posey of Arlington, Tx., and Kristi Underwood and husband Mike of Fort Worth, Tx. One son James Hogan of Crossroads, TX. Sister: Joan McBeth and husband Jerry of Cisco, TX. The jewels of laughter of his grandchildren are: Nathan and his wife BreAnne Posey, and their expecting child, Cheyenne. Matthew Posey and Alex McGinness. His only beloved granddaughter Linsey Underwood and fiancé John Younger.

One great grandchild: Michael McGinness.

Gail was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Lolla Hogan, one sister JoNell Overstreet one brother Gene Hogan and his wife Betty Hogan.
