Lavene Stubblefield, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013.  Funeral services were Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Eastland and burial followed at Murray Cemetery.

Dolly Lavene Burnett was born on June 14, 1931 in Brown County to Claude and Iva (Hood) Burnett.  She graduated from Carbon High School and married Mack Stubblefield on June 23, 1950.  Mack and Lavene owned the Carbon Trading Co.  She was a dedicated wife, mother and friend of the community.  While raising her childen she enjoyed supporting her children's activities.  After raising her children she discovered her interest in art and taught a community art class at Ranger College for ten years.  Lavene lived a life of love for God, family and friends as a lifelong member of the Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of sixty two years, Mack; son Larry Stubblefield and his wife Diana; daughter Sherry Rowell; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
