Leslie Tonn, age 75, died July 24, 2002 in Round Rock, Texas.  He was born Dec. 24, 1927, to James R. and Vennie L. (Shirley) Tonn at Talpa, Texas. He lived in Coahoma and Big Spring before graduating from Carbon High School in 1944.  He married Ladell Bethany on Feb. 17, 1945, in Carbon, Texas.  After serving in the U. S. Army, he graduated from Baylor University.  He was a teacher and coach for 29 years at schools including Desdemona, Rotan and Ropesville.  Survivors include wife, Ladell Tonn, of Round Rock; son, Wayne Tonn; two daughters, Marilyn Gladson and Sue Holmes; two brothers, Durwood Tonn and Ewell tonn; three sisters, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
