Inez died on February 24, 1983, at the age of 62.  She had liver cancer.

Survived by daughter Vicky Etheridge Burmeister and husband Danny of Seguin, Texas; son Larry Etheridge and wife Linda of Fredricksberg, Texas; two grandsons and four granddaughters.

Inez married J. B. Etheridge of Cisco, Texas on January 18, 1946.  They lived in the Cisco, Moran area while J. B. completed his degree in education at C.J.C. and Abilene Christian College.  He went on to teach and serve as superintendent of Schools at Moran, Lingleville, Briggs and Geronimo, Texas.  Inez was always there to encourage and support her family in any way she could.  At the time of her death she was mourned not only by her family but the many students she encountered over the years.
