Oma Mae Hughes was the wife of James Hughes, the Superintendent of Carbon schools.
I taught with her in the early 1970's. I only knew her outside the classroom, but she certainly took care of her students, leading them to and from the lunchroom, and to and from the play ground. She was always with them, They loved her and loved being with her.
I enjoyed knowing Oma Mae as a very calm and dedicated person.
