Ruby Hogan, 86, of Carbon, died Thursday, March 18, 2004, at the Eastland Memorial Hospital.  Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2004, at Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel in Gorman, Texas.  Rev. Bob Ferguson officiated.  Burial was in the Murray Cemetery new Carbon.  Mrs. Hogan was born October 22, 1917, in Rockwall, Texas, to Edward Adams and Elizabeth (Piper) Adams.  Her husband, I. D. Hogan, preceded her in death in 1991.  She was a retired cook and a member of First Baptist Church of Carbon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, two brothers, one sister and a granddaughter.  She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Dale Parrigan of Cisco and Kenneth Earl Parrigan of Fort Worth; three daughters, Julia Ann Burgess of Rockwall, Nelda Jean Lee of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and Martha Faye Baggett of Garland; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
