After graduation from the University of the Philippines in Los Banos, I taught chemistry at the University of San Carlos for about 3 and a half years (1972-75). During this time I met my husband and was a housewife until we came to the U.S. where I went back to school at the University of New Orleans to become a medical technologist.

My marriage has brought me to places I only dreamed of going!
I've lived in Brisbane, Australia (had our 1st daughter, Guada), Lae, Papue New Guinea (had our 2nd child Will), Erlangen, Germany (had our 3rd child Grace) and New Orleans, USA (had our 4th child John)! Since 1993 we've been living in Hot Springs, Arkansas, the boyhood home of former president Bill Clinton. It's a nice small city of probably 40,000.
I don't think I changed much culturally, that is, I try to bring the best of us Filipinos- hardworking, if given the opportunity and people -loving.
Spiritually, although I still consider myself Catholic (my husband is Lutheran) I believe one person's christianity or religion has meaning only if it shows in her/his life or in one's
dealing with others.
Having lived in many countries, I think people all over the world are basically the same no matter what they want you to believe!

Travel some more!

I remember during the junior-senior prom they made it as a joke that I was going to bequeath my faded school uniform skirts to some junior. I inherited those skirts from my older sister and she inherited them in turn from a richer cousin. That was embarassing for me at that time but looking back, hey, that was just petty.
Some good memories: I always admired the the beautiful garden at the front of the school at SCS except it was sometimes offlimits for those of us who had to stay in school for lunch.
I had good memories of Sister Marie Consejo, my 6th grade teacher.

I fit in between the old and the young!
I love the internet! I was able to reconnect with friends I met during our travels and some former college friends.
