After Graduation, I was an exchange student in Brazil. Since then, I have been primarily based in Oakland County working in PR/Marketing for a variety of automotive companies (Chrysler, Ernst & Young and now GMAC).
I've been blessed with two amazing kids--Cody & Gabrielle--Cody just graduated and will begin college in the fall. He has a scholarship and has dreams of jumping out of planes as a FireFighter/Paramedic.
Gabrielle--my clone--is my artistic child. She is one brilliant artist/photographer/visonary! She will be a sophmore this year and amazes me daily! Check out some of her handy work in my photo section.
Most of you know that Scott and I married and divorced. We remain friends and live only 10 miles apart making things good for the kids. I did remarry in 1997 in Key West Florida. Paul, my hubby of 11 years now, and I live in Troy close to family and friends.
I completed my BA-communications from the University of Detroit. My daughter made her appearance in the world as I completed my FINAL FINAL. I went into labor two weeks early and had Gabby the next day.
I also went back to Wayne State a few years back and walked again with my fellow Masters of Fine Art students. I specialized in Crisis Communication (a breeze for any parent with 2 teen agers ;- )
I had a riot in school and have too many memories to even recall...Although I think one of the best was being busted for skipping by my Dad (who'd make a stop in to fix something for Consumers Powers at the Skill Center). He drops by and I'm nowhere to be found.
I had headed out with another boy-crazy TASC friend to another voc-ed school out by Port Huron--just Day Trippin' on a beautiful sunny spring day.
My Dad turned me in to Jeannie Black the TASC principal and the next day I actually BullSh**'d my way out of a suspension by explaining that we sincerely went to the school to compare the curriculum and share in the spirit of cooperative learning. I don't think she believed us, but she was so impressed with the reasoning, she let us go. It's no wonder I'm in PR! (Unfortunately, my son has this gift too!)
