What have you been doing for the last 25 years?
After graduating from MSU in 1993, I moved to Chicago and got a job as a Sales/PR Coordinator for Swissotel Chicago. I was introduced to my husband, Ty, in Chicago via my cousin, Carrie and we married in 1997. I moved back to Michigan and continued in Sales/Marketing for various companies and decided to switch careers to teaching. I acquired a secondary teaching certificate in marketing education from Eastern Michigan University (1998) and got a job teaching marketing at Brighton High School (1998).
In 2001, I gave birth (really early!) to a son, Zachary. Due to his prematurity, I chose to stay home with him between 2001 and 2007. During those years, we moved to Green Bay, WI and back to Dexter, MI. In 2007, I returned to Brighton High School as the marketing teacher. Currently, I am working on my Master's degree in Educational Leadership.
