I loved School. I particularly liked music and acting.
My secret crush was Bill Walsh. He was nice and funny and sat behind me.This may now be my most embarrassing moment. I ran for senior vice president while on crutches. Maybe I won by the sympathy vote?

Gym Class(ugh) I could never do gymnastics. I have always been upset that our senior year, we did not have a year book. So much happened our senior year yet there was nothing to remember it by.

I remained in Carpentersville for years, lived in Lake in the Hills and now Poplar Grove.

I am always in touch with Karen Edwards,Jola Ricks. , Anne Nolan and Jim Simon. I am now facebook friends with many.

I became a manager for KFC. I then worked at a factory where I married my son's father. That did not work ,so I went back to school when I was 30.
I then became a nurse and re-married.

I had planned to go to college and become a teacher. Instead I worked and got married.I became a nurse instead , years later.

KFC, A factory,a nursing agency and some nursing homes,I worked at Elgin Mental Health Center as a Psychiatric nurse.I retired from there after 25 years.
I became very active in my nurses union. I held many offices including president. Through that I became vocal in nursing issues and patient safety.

The birth of my son,going back to school, being active in politics as a leader in the Illinois Nurses Association and marrying a wonderful man.

My divorce from my son's dad and not going to college as planned.

I don't drink or smoke but I like good food.

That I have acted in dinner theater.

I have met many politicians in Springfield. I help lobby for safe patient care.
