I think we should all be thinking about 2 things for our bucket list. I assume you all know what a bucket list is? Things you want to do before you kick the bucket! Let's give some serious thought to this. I am not going to post mine yet. I want to really think about it. Hope you all have a good week. I have been out at the pool all afternoon and am so tired. (Tough life, I know.) 40 days left to register and get your money in.
If anyone is left who has not shared their random things, please feel free!

yes, I still need your recipes, I would like to have one from everyone. It would be best if it has a special signicfigance in your life, something that was made for a special day or event or maybe by a special person for you or you for them.
I loved Mr. Ed also. but he probably wasn't my favorite.
I will be thinking of things for the bucket list.
I am also on Facebook and I only go there to check up on the teenagers.ha

Moody's Bucket List (Two Only, still working on some others)

1. Ride in an F-15 or F-16, or F-22 Fighter Jet, going really, really fast, afterburners full-out, down low enough to the ground so I can see the Earth passing by and cross Kansas in about 5 minutes from east to west. I have driven across Kansas a few times, and it only takes a lifetime or so. Would be neat to cross it in less than 30 minutes or so. Zoom!!!

2. Go to Europe and visit some of the WW I and II battle grounds and cemetary's where a lot of our military personnel are buried. Pay my respects and thank them for ensuring freedom for me and my children. May not get there, but I've been to Arlington, Jefferson Barracks, Shiloh and Confederate Memorial at Higginsville. Kinda weird to want to go visit graveyards as something to put on your bucket list, huh?

Steve, your bucket list is YOUR bucket list. I personally would not want to do the first one. The 2nd one might be pretty cool. I am still thinking about mine. Anyone else got theirs ready?

Okay, seriously, I would love to be able to retire. Just anywhere but Memphis. Maybe in the hills of Arkansas. The way the world is going, who knows? We are simple people who live beneath our means - cars are paid for, house is almost paid off (less than 4 years!), no credit card debt, so, except for 1 really good vacation a year...we don't do much). But retirement...seems like a long way off.
Did I get too serious? It is the meds!

Just received word that my cousin, Carol Malone Tillman's, husband, Randy, passed away this morning. She lost her daughter, Stephony, several months ago. Please pray for the family. Carol is Mickey's sister.

I'll give you a couple for my bucket list.
1. Ride in a hot air balloon
2. Go on a cruise for a least a week if not two.
and retirement sounds really good, sleep when I want and go where I want, but how do you do the things you want without the income??????
maybe I just need to change the things I want to do??
I could stay home and emboidery or maybe just watch the trees and clouds???

Okay....here's a couple of things on my bucket list....
(1) Take the Beatles tour in London...see the childhood home of all 4 of them...Abbey Road...Strawberry Fields...Penny Lane...the Cavern....and while I'm there I'll check out the other minor things like Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, etc....ha ha...actually I might get to do this in 2010. My friend Connie Treece Fullhart and I are plotting this thing. In August of 2010 they're having the International Beatles Festival...this would be a prime time wouldn't it...I have to start saving...

(2)(And the most important thing)...I want to live to see my grandchildren grow up, graduate, get married, and be productive adults....then I will be satisfied that I've done everything and seen everything that I ever wanted to do....

The Beatles tour. Awesome. If I were a betting woman, I would put my money on you! Be sure and post pictures when you get back. (Yes, we will still be on the web site in 2010 keeping up with each other!)

Update from Gerceida on some of our classmates:

Clara Webster became a park ranger in Anchorage, Alaska. I found this out after I had left. That was in January, 2006. (from Debbie: Did she marry? Does anyone know her married name and her husband's first name?)

Emmitt Chitman lives in Memphis now and went to the Marines (I believe), for sure the military. (from Debbie: I sent several letters but got no response)

WL Wilson went to the military, lives in NJ, and is a CO.

Emmitt and I along with Bryan Oatsvall joined the Marines and right after graduation went to boot camp together. Bryan did great until an old back-injury was aggravated by all the physical punishment we were given and had to leave. Emmitt and I hooked up on the island of Okinawa a year or so after boot-camp and had a great home-boy visit, two C'villians all the way on the far side of the big pond. Glad to hear Emmitt is in Memphis.

I also got an email from Roosefelt Hayes the other day, and he is going to be back in the states later this year, December I think, and is taking his Dad, we all knew as Mr. Hayes, to Florida for a vacation. Cool, huh?

I'd even go for a ride in an old F-14 or Super Hornet; you can only go SO FAST!! :)

Sorry to hear about the loss in your family, Sandy. sbm

Nice pictures Gerceida! You have a beauitful family. You haven't changed a bit. :) Also, congratulations on your community service award. After looking at those in attendance, it seemed like a very prestigous award. What exactly have you been doing to earn such an honor? Whatever you did, it sounds like you've been very busy.

A special hello to all my fellow classmates: Some of you I have had a closer association, and some of you I am just really getting to know . . . thanks to this wonderful website. I am not one to spend much time on this website, but when I do get on, it is well worth my time. It's good to know that it will continue even after the reunion is over.

I am currently in the process of gathering more information on some of our missing classmates and will keep you informed. I do know that Clara Webster married David Wooden before she graduated high school. They are like some of you die-hards . . . still happily married after all these years. Yes, Clara did go into the forestry service. If I recall correctly they are both also serving in the ministry. David is also a graduate of Caruthersville High. I do know that their oldest child is a girl. I think they also have a son. This is just from memory. I should have more information on Clara, Bessie, and a few others in a day or so. I finally got a new number for Bessie and will be talking to her tonight. I am trying to get my twin brother Donald to join this site. Keep checking. . . if you are interested in seeing what I come up with. :)

Debra, I did a search on Clara Wooden and believe I found her! I just sent her an email. Can you tell me how Rosie died? Did I tell you I wish you were coming to the reunion??

Debbie, Rosie died from a brain tumor. I remember that during her last few months, she began having horrible headaches.

I just spoke with Emmitt Chitman and since he does not have access to a computer am sending him hard copy info about the reunion. I think he might make it! If any of you guys would like to give him a call, let me know. He sounded just like he used to!

Jimmy Speidel's 10 random things (which I just found on his profile page!!!)

Sorry it took so long to respond! 10 random things, huh?

I'm getting ready to walk my daughter down the aisle on June 6!

In the last week or so, I've flown chickens(yes day old chicks) to New York and Miami. The 37000 chickens I flew to NY were going on to Egypt. The 29000 I flew to Miami were going to Peru and the Dominican Republic.

I'm a Nascar fan. My favorites are Mark Martin and Carl Edwards.

I spent 14 months in beautiful Iraq, yeah right, Iraq, working on a surveillance project for the US Army.

I enjoy cooking and unfortunately eating. I'm a good cook also.

One of my favorite thing is sitting on my patio and watching the birds enjoy the bird feeders I've made, while Mary works in the garden.

I also enjoy doing woodworking. I've made some furniture, bird feeders, bird houses, and other things.

I still truely enjoy flying. I started when I was 13 and still don't get bored.

Between my Dad, my brother Randy, my daughter Jennifer and me, someone in my family has been making a living in Aviation since 1940.

Mary and I started dating in 1973, and will celebrate our 30th anniversary in October.

I go to Mexico every few weeks, but have never left the airport! So much for sight seeing!

Life lesson

Always take time for the children.

Don't put them off until later, they won't be children long and you will miss your opportunity.
