Still think about Dave a lot.  We stayed very good friends up until his unfortunate passing from amyloidosis ( a rare disease I'd never really experienced during med school or after).  His young son Grayson was way too young to remember what a great guy Dave was.

Vividly remember our drive home from a race at Elkhart Lake Wisc to stop in Madison to watch the first moon walk, and we shared our love for racing,  being lucky to crew for him and his FV race car.   Meet his future wife at an earlier Wash reunion dinner at Duffy's Car Center...

We "raced" our matching Porsches the last night before the dreaded 55 speed limit back in the mid 70's,  and continuted to avoid the "smokIes" for many years after .

His work brought him to DM several times, and we never missed a chance to play tennis with my boys, and to compare notes on our favorite Formula One drivers, and races.

After his death,  Jill said he wanted me to have his beloved '73 Porsche, which hadn't been driven for many years .    It was an honor to restore the car, and it sits proudly with my other "toys."

Grayson, his son will graduate from high school next spring- I'm sorry Dave won't be there to see it.

Continue to RIP-  we haven't forgotten you.
