Bob Black was one of my first friends at Arthur Elementary School. He was in Miss Dinsdale's art class, where we worked on tempera paintings and clay figures. I have a badly over-exposed photo of him standing next to the ceramics kiln. Bob was really smart and a good student. He's right there in the 4th grade class picture in the back row. Bob and I liked to ride bikes around Cedar Rapids, and play with his model train layout and slot racers. We explored Indian Creek near his parent's house. Bob was a really nice guy. I miss him and our childhood quite a bit.
