Gregory Dean Burton, 73, of Glen Burnie, passed away at his home on November 9, 2022.

He was born to his parents, Sylvester and Thelma (Munson) Burton on December 26, 1948, in Muscatine, IA and was raised in Joy, IL.  He was a graduate of George Washington High School in Cedar Rapids, IA and went on to become a Meat Cutter, where he worked at Giant Food for over 35 years. Gregory was a member of the UFCW Local 400.  He enjoyed reading, woodworking, collecting bells, monkeys and key chains, and leather craft.

Gregory is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Donna Burton; his sons, Michael Burton of Hurlock, MD, Brandon Burton of St. Louis, MO, and Daniel Gilbert of Joy, IL; his daughters, Kara Garverick (John) of Aiken, SC, Angela Burton (Jeffrey Gibson) of Glen Burnie, MD, and Lindsay Burton of Abingdon, MD; his sister, Merlene “Cooky” Olson of Joy, IL, as well as, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Lou Davis.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD, 21146.
