May Bob's Memory be forever eternal.John Van Pelt
Bob was a life long friend of mine. Our families attended the same church in Cedar Rapids. We hung out together in high school. Much later, as "mature" adults, we met with a small group of classmates every year at the same place, on the same day (Friday following Thanksgiving) and watched Iowa play Nebraska. There are many memories here. Bob had a warm smile, an engaging sense of humor, and a good heart. I will miss him dearly.

Bob was a good guy we miss so many people especially from our class thanks that some of us are still kicking ( little)Nancy Eller (Lang)
Bob took me to the prom even though he was going out with someone else. He was the nicest guy. Sorry to hear about his passing.
Patricia "Patty" Smith (Baer)
Bob was the kindest person, with the most engaging smile and eyes. I so agree with the comments others have made. He was just a great guy. It is so sad to hear of his death. May you rest in peace, dear. Friend.

I thought Bob was a really good guy. He dated my friend in high school, and I remember her saying what a good man he was. I am so sorry that he passed. It was too early. It makes me sad. Yasmine Marca

A super guy and I always enjoyed seeing him at our reunions. A true car guy and we would talk for hours on the subject. My most vivid memory was attending Latin class with him in 9th grade at Franklin. Besides Ken Cook, Bob and I were the only students in the class who were not Honor Society members. However, we were too brash to be intimidated by the "high-octane" IQs of the other class members. Don Miller was the class star. His intellect was amazing. The three of us simply muddled through.
