A great friend from junior high and beyond. i remember several escapades that he, myself, Dale Wood, and Tom Hubbard were involved in. He seemed to have a knack for taking life as it came. I often think about crazy things we did. Sad to hear of his pasing RIP Dick!

Sorry to hear that. Though the memories fade with time, I do seem to remember getting in trouble for various things with him... sure do remember his senior picture. Can't believe that is almost 50 years old! Am sorry he won't be making the upcoming reunion.
David Valenta
Saddened by this news. We had mutual friends in high school. I remember him as being one of the organizers for the "Jr. Boys Breakfast" in Dows Field. Always fun and quick to laugh.

Dick was a really great guy, kindhearted, and thoughtful. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to spend quite a bit of time talking with him at the 40th reunion. Our hotel rooms were next to one another, and we chatted on the balcony for quite some time. He was really an easy going guy, and I am heartbroken that he is gone. Yasmine Marca

It has taken me a few months to write this as Dick's passing really was such sad news to me. I so looked forward to seeing him at the reunions. He holds a very special place in my heart. Back in Junior High, I remember Dick, Dave Beadle and Steve Wilson being such goofy and funny guys and I really enjoyed being around them. Sort of like the Iowa version of the 3 Amigos. Later, after college Dick and I reconnected as friends and had some wonderful memories that I will always treasure. It is quite a loss as he had a happy spirit.
