Joyce(JEM) Maher Edmondson Bender age 66, died at her home in rural Kalona on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 following a lingering illness.  Mrs. Bender has donated her body to the University of Iowa Department of Anatomical Studies. 

Joyce Ellen Bender was born October 26, 1948, the daughter of John and Joyce E. (Strang) Maher.  She graduated from high school and attended the University of Iowa for two years. She was united in marriage to Enos Bender at Shiloh on May 5, 2001. JEM was a member of Shiloh Church, Kalona. 
 
Joyce is survived by Her husband, two daughters and two sons, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
