Class of 1989 35th Reunion

Your trusty reunion committee is happy to communicate the final details of our upcoming 35th Reunion, which will take place November 8-10. Our class will have two primary events: our Friday evening dinner and our Saturday tailgate BBQ. Details of both are listed below.

Unlike years past, we will not require registration on Friday. Since all swag is being ordered and fulfilled online, there is nothing to “pick up”. Registered (PAID!) classmates will be on the list at the desk at both events. With that said, our Reunion Central – Hotel Indigo is prepared to accommodate us at their cash bar from early afternoon on Friday for those who like to pre-game. 

The cost of the Reunion includes participation in both events. Due to planning purposes, it is an all-in cost, and we cannot separate out the two events a la carte. If purchased by October 15, the costs are:

Couple: $345

Single: $300

Additional Tailgate Guest: $25

Costs after October 15 are:

Couple: $365

Single: $320

Additional Tailgate Guest: $45

It is critical that we have an accurate headcount by October15. Unfortunately, we do not have a financing or layaway plan, so only registered/paid guests will be counted.

The Friday night event is at one of Charleston’s premier event venues. We are really excited about the package they have put together.

Saturday, November 9:

11:30 am through Halftime: Reunion Tailgate

BBQ and Beverages! You and your guests must be registered for the reunion. You must have a ticket (not included in our reunion cost) to the football game to enter the tailgate area.

2:00 pm: The Citadel Bulldogs vs Chattanooga

Seats are located in section E. The deadline to purchase tickets in the Homecoming Block is September 20th. After that date, unpurchased tickets will be made available to the public and class members might not get a seat with the rest of the class. Our class can also win a free group outing toa Citadel Basketball or Baseball game by donating Holy City Heroes Tickets at checkout!

For Reunion Gear, we chose an online vendor to give you many more options than we would have been able to offer. You can order as much and as often as you would like. They deliver to you. We would suggest you order any clothing options that you want to wear at the reunion by September 30th.A portion of any purchase made from our Class of 1989 catalogue will help offset our reunion costs. If you have not visited Charleston lately, then you have no idea how crazy expensive things are here, especially special events. In developing our class merchandise catalogue, we purposely did not add “35th Reunion” so that the stuff does not become outdated immediately. The past couple of years have been rough with the number of our beloved classmates that we have lost, so let’s not lose this opportunity to gather and remember how we pledged our special fraternity for four years and to celebrate our bonds that have lasted a lifetime (35 years is a LONG time).
