Clint Nelson 1973-2013

Clint B. Nelson CHARLOTTE - Clint B. Nelson went to be with the Lord on July 28, 2013. Born September 11, 1973 in Denver, CO. After winning several awards as a soccer athlete, he graduated from East Mecklenburg in 1991. Clint then went on to graduate from UNCC in 1997 majoring in History. Clint and his wife Abby Nelson were married April 6, 2002. They have a beautiful daughter, Haley. Clint was full of life. Always a joking and laughing. Clint is survived by his loving wife, Abby and his gorgeous daughter, Haley. He is also survived by his mom, Cathy Olsen, dad, Larry Nelson, stepfather, Jerry Olsen, brother and sister- in-law Glenn & Laura Nelson, brothers Derek Nelson, Brandon Nelson, nephews Cyrus, Hunter & Brandon Nelson, grandmother Patricia McCoy, grandparents Uva & Myron Nelson. mother-in-law Elizabeth Merklein, father-in-law, Gene Merklein, sister-in-law, Priscilla Merklein, sister and brother-in-law Rod & Jennifer Allan. In typical Clint fashion.he fought till the bitter end. A Celebration Of Life will be Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 4:00-9:00 pm at the Providence Pointe Clubhouse. Pool Party, BBQ and Poker Game. Kevin Vroome 1973-2015

Kevin Scott Vroome, 42, of Cary passed away December 7, 2015. He was born on March 24, 1973 in Lancaster, PA to Joy and Ray Vroome. Kevin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dorothy and Ray Vroome and his maternal grandfather, Andrew Hopper. In addition to his parents, Kevin is survived by his wife, Alison Hall Vroome; 2 daughters, Sydney Vroome and Kate Vroome; sister, Chrissy Hartsfield and her husband, Drew; niece, Dylan and nephew, Andrew; and his grandmother, Ann Hopper. Kevin graduated from East Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte, NC in 1991. He attended college at North Carolina State University and graduated with a degree in Business. He was currently employed by Teleflex Medical as a project manager. Kevin also attended Crosspointe Church in Cary. Kevin was a dedicated and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandson and loyal friend to all his many friends. His family was the center of his world and all who knew him were witness to his kind and gentle soul. Kevin was a long-time fan of all NC State athletics and the NY Mets. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Brown-Wynne of Cary. The funeral will be held at 12:00 pm, on Friday, December 11th at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary. A visitation will take place on Thursday, December 10th from 6-8 pm, also at the funeral home.
