Congratulations on your Dad’s honor to Charlotte’s history. One New Year’s Eve, when I was married to Tip Tipton, we spent the night at a hotel in Charlotte and your dad was the entertainment. I went to talk to him and he remembered me right off. That graciousness your father showed me was something I will never, ever forget.

Hello, Susie! It’s been such a long time and you look fantastic! After marrying Tip Tipton, then unfortunately divorcing, I met my husband Michael in Charlotte although he’s originally from Texas. I graduated from UNCC, and after working in several different occupations, my husband and I found ourselves in Texas after his GE career. We have family and friends in the Carolinas and try to get back there as often as possible, though not in the last 2 years. I hope when they reschedule the reunion, we’ll be able to see one another then. Take care!

Oh, Fan. I wished you knew how many times I’ve thought of you and Susie over the years. I hope you remember me from our freshman year. I’m so sorry I wasn’t a better friend to you and Susie. I had to leave LR because it had become too expensive for my parents. So I transferred to UNCC where they had a chapter of my sorority and was less expensive even living on campus. Then I married Tip Tipton and lived in Hickory too. (Did we ever cross paths?) Anyway, we moved to Charlotte and the marriage fell apart. My immaturity got in the way, poor Norm. I met Michael in Charlotte who is originally from Texas. He went to work for GE and we made several moves and here we are in the DFW area. So glad to see you married a great guy, stayed in Hickory, had children and a great life. So very glad to see you.

Wow-awesome! I too worked as a legal assistant to two attorneys when I retired. It made me think maybe the legal field was where I should have been all along.
