I'm retired from 17 years in education as a high school teacher and guidance counselor and 17 years as a child abuse investigator.
I live in the Rocky Mountains in Northwest Montana--trout fishing, kayaking, cross country skiing, hiking, playing music. I'm a percussionist--play for a belly dance troupe, and with a folk music group.
I left Virginia in '77 after getting my bachelor's and master's at ODU. I went on to get my Ph.D in multicultural studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Lived in Athens, Ga for five years--played with Neal Patman Blues band and worked child protective services. Moved to Portland OR for 12 years. Have been here in Montana for 2 years.
