Larry DeWayne Kirby passed away on August 2, 2009.  He is survived by his parents,  Vernon Randolph Kirby and the late Johnnie Mae Kirby.  Also, he is predeceased by his first wife, Jennifer Louise Kirby.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Margie Strickler Kirby; two sons, Chris Kirby of Waynesboro and Ryan Kirby, and his friend, Vickie of Buckingham; two stepsons, Jared Strickler and his wife, Krissy, of Crozet and Caleb Strickler and his fiancee, Kristie Barbour, of Greenwood; five brothers, Randy and his wife, Lynn, of Crozet, Allen and his wife, Kem, of Keswick, John and his wife, Dot, of Palmyra; brothers, Van and Bobby of Charlottesville; one sister, Debra Kirby of Crozet; six grandchildren, Taylor and Briana Strickler, Keegan, Caylee, and Laveah Strickler and Dylan Hofecker; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 
 
He is buried at Prize Hill Cemetery, Boonesville, VA.
