Susan was an awesome young lady and was always a joy to be around, she was one that lead by example and lived her life the same, like many others, she is and will always be missed, and it is an honor to be able to express this!!!

Susan was as true of a friend as you would ever want, I met her the first year I was at CHS we had Lockers next to one another. You would never see susan that she wasn't smiling. I'm sure every friend she had will keep her in their prayers as I will May God Be With you

I'm saddened to learn of Susan's passing. I always thought that she was a lovely person with a sweet personality. The last time I saw her, we were both in the maternity ward at Memorial Hospital. Our children were born on June 26, 1977.

Susan was so much fun to be around, & I always enjoyed doing things with her. We went thru North Chatta. Junior High, CHS & Middle Tenn. State Univ. We had tons of fun in the dorm playing tricks on each other & other people! We met some great girls from Brainerd High School & many from different areas of the state & country. We kept in touch after I left & went to U. of Memphis my last 2 yrs. I'd go by & visit her & Doug in Stuart Heights when their daughter was a little girl. I never have understood how bad diseases affect such nice people, but have seen it happen over & over. When Susan was in the hospital, we corresponded, & she still kept a positive attitude. I have the old calendar from CHS with her picture & Anne Greever Nolan's picture in a frame. I hope Doug & their family have been doing well. I think about them often & admire them for going on with their lives. Susan would want them all to be happy. She was one of the sweetest girls I've ever known.
Sincerely, Barbara Chase Turner

Susan was one of the few people I have known that never had an unkind word to say to or about someone else. She was truly one of the kindest, gentlest, hard working souls I have known. Rest in Peace.

I can only echo what others have already been said. Having experienced what Doug did myself, I can tell you, brother, to always hold on to the memories and remember the good times you had together. Sincerely and respectfully, JEFF.

Susan Alday...what a great person.  She always had a smile on her face and something nice to say.  I remember her at CHS and at MTSU (I think she roomed with Barbara Powell.) She and Doug were perfect for each other.  She was one of the good people who left us way too soon.
