Peggy we sure spent a lot of time playing barbees. We went our sperate ways in jr high and high school, but when you got sick you called at UT. I came home so I could come to the hospital. I remember spending the night at you house and you put my bra on and at the dinner table you pulled up your shirt to show evey body what you had on. I didn't have any brothers but I was sure you were not supposed to do that in front of Dan, Pete, and your dad. Know body acted like you had done any thing wrong. I did not know what to think. Your life was cut to short.

Peggy and I had 5 tough years together...obviously a lot tougher for her than me, but at least we had that time with a lot of laughs and a lot of tears, she had a strong heart and fought it to the bitter end.
For your information, I said my fond farewell to Peggy in 1979, I laid her to rest in the National Cemetary in Chattanooga.

In all these years I had never known what happened to take Peggy's life at such a young age. So thank you, Jeff, for putting that in your profile.

Whenever I flip through my yearbooks from City, I always stare at Peggy's photo longer than anyone else's. As everyone knows, she was an extremely attractive girl and if anyone ever had a right to be a bit conceited, it would've been her. However, Peggy was anything but! She was the sweetest, most humble person you could ever meet and was always concerned about others.

We may not have been "best" friends, but I am proud to say that Peggy was a friend of mine. I will always remember the sunshine she brought to a room whenever she entered with that wonderful, heartfelt smile. We will continue to miss you, Peggy, and we will always remember you as the beautiful, youthful girl you were at CHS.
