Obituary for William "Bill" George Schwall

William “Bill” George Schwall, age 76, of Chickamauga, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. He was born to the late Refoe Lake Schwall and Martha Safford Schwall in New York, moved to the Chattanooga/North Georgia Area at a young age, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Chickamauga, where he served as deacon for many years. Bill served his country in the U.S. Army and had a law firm in the Chattanooga Area for more than 50 years. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Chattanooga for the past 10 years and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed. He is also preceded in death by his step-mother, Kate Schwall Bill is survived by his loving wife, of 53 years, Ann C. Schwall; sons and daughters-in-law, Greg Schwall and Luann Schwall, and Chris Schwall and Allison Schwall; brothers, Robert L. Schwall and Jim R. Schwall; grandchildren, Oceania, Teagan, Zoe, Russell William, and Fiona; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 23, 2024 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Chickamauga City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday and prior to the service on Thursday. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home-J. Avery Bryan Chapel, Chickamauga
