Patti (Malone) Meadows,70, went home to meet her Lord and Savior on September 7, 2023, following a brief illness. She was born on January 22, 1953, in Orangeburg, SC but moved to Chattanooga at an early age. She grew up in East Lake where she met the love of her life and at age fourteen she and Phil Meadows started “going steady” marrying four years later a month after high school and they recently celebrated their fifty-second anniversary. Patti’s chosen career was to be a stay at home mom and she was the best raising three wonderful sons.After they were grown she embarked on a second career taking over as Volunteer Coordinator for the Riverbend Festival as well as their other events for fifteen years. Patti always had a beautiful engaging smile and became a friend to everyone she met. She loved the Lord as well as family and friends and was active in her church. Patti was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Alice (Moore) Malone, a son Matt (Jessica) Meadows and a sister Pam (Ken) Malone Melton. She is survived by her husband Phil Meadows, Sr., sons Philip Meadows II, Joe (Tara) Meadows, granddaughter Brielle Faith Meadows, a brother Kenneth Malone, Jr. and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday September 17, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Resurrection Church, 1800 Rossville Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37408. Visitation immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Resurrection Church.

So sorry to hear of Patti's passing. I know Phil and family are heartbroken. As a CHS sophomore, I was quite shy and knew practically no one. I was blessed to have Study Hall in The Commons w Phil & Patti that year. Patti always smiled & welcomed me to sit with them. I feel sure that I am not alone & that she smiled and welcomed all who came in contact with her.
