Larry W. Moon U.S. Navy Veteran Had A Natural Drive And Love For Adventure Friday, December 13, 2024 Larry W. Moon, 77, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away Monday on December 9, 2024. He was a graduate of Chattanooga High School class of 1965. Larry lived a remarkable life defined by his passion, service, and dedication to his family. Born with a natural drive and a love for adventure, Larry proudly served his country as a Navy veteran. After his time in the service, he poured his enthusiasm into his love and admiration for classic cars, collecting and selling them with unmatched joy and expertise. He enjoyed motorcycles, often finding peace and exhilaration on the open road. Larry’s greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Moon; his two sons, Tyler Moon and Michael Johnson; and several cherished grandchildren along with nieces and nephews. A hard worker to his core, Larry dedicated his life to his family and instilled in them the values of perseverance, loyalty, and love. A memorial service to celebrate Larry’s life will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 18. Visitation will be from 5-6:30 p.m. and a small service from 6:30-7 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel, located in Hamilton Memorial Gardens, Hixson. Larry will be remembered for his warm spirit, his unwavering dedication to those he loved. He leaves behind a legacy of memories that will be treasured by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to St Jude Children’s Hospital in Larry’s honor. Rest in peace, Larry, knowing you were deeply loved and will be forever missed
