Steven Estrada

1964-2012

Steve Estrada, 48, former Cheyenne resident, passed away Nov. 4 at his home in Littleton, Colo.

Steve and his wife, Robin, had been married for 14 years.

Steve was born in January 1964 in Lawton, Okla., to Betty and Richard Estrada. He moved to Cheyenne at age 8 and graduated from East High School in 1983. He served in the U.S. Army from 1987 to 1991.

Steve worked for the Jefferson County School District for 19 years and was known as “Big Steve” by many.

Steve was an avid car enthusiast and showed his vintage Camaro at local car shows, in which he won a number of awards. He also had a passion for fishing and loved to fish with his brother, Scott, and nephew, Jeramie. Steve was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Steve is survived by his wife, Robin; three stepchildren, Amanda, Johnathon and Bubba Farmer; six grandchildren, McKinzie, Caye, Makenna, Natalie, Kelton and Daisy; his sister, Cindy and husband Ned; brother, Tony; nephew, Jeramie Prine and wife Cecilie and their children Meesha and Taj; and nephews, Adrian, Gabe and Dakota.

Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Betty; father, Richard; and brother, Scott.

A memorial service and reception will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church, 17701 W. 16th Ave. in Golden, Colo.

Richard Swann

   Steve and I have been friends since the sixth grade at Bain Elimentory School. He was a great friend all through Junior High and High School, In 1986 we joined the Army together, He served in the 1/27 and I in th 4/27 Infantry  WOLFHOUNDS 25th INF Division. Steve was admired and respected buy those he served and those that served with him. He was a soilder and proved great credit upon himself his Unit  and the United States Army.  He will truely be missed by those that have had the pleasure to call him a friend.
