Susan Dodd, 56, of Olyphant, died March 3, 2021, at Geisinger Community Medical Center after an illness.

Born Nov. 1, 1964, in Fort Bragg, N.C., she was the daughter of Ann Marie (Berchem) Zumbluskas, of Olyphant, and the late John D. Zumbluskas. Susan was employed by the ARC of Northeastern Pennsylvania as a caregiver to many persons with special needs. She was kind and compassionate, and excelled at her job. She was a member of Holy Cross Parish in Olyphant, and was a member of the Mid Valley Dart League.

Susan will be dearly missed by her family, co-workers and clients, and her little dog, “Daisy.”

Surviving in addition to her mother are her sons, Andrew Dodd, of Carbondale; and Matthew Dodd, of Marietta, Ga.; her sister, Angela Escott and husband, Will, of Jessup; her brothers, John T. Zumbluskas, of Archbald; and Michael K. Zumbluskas, of New York City; her niece, Desiree; nephew, Sheldon; her grandniece, Lady Lynn; and many cousins.

A memorial blessing service will be conducted in the Howard J. Snowdon Funeral Home of Scranton.

Interment and committal services will be conducted at Cathedral Cemetery.
