THAT WAS THEN:
I worked for AT&T and retired after 30 years. Me and Randy Alexander, my husband, had a major recording contract with RCA & Atlantic Records with the band, MERGE. He was the drummer/leader and I was the singer. We traveled and had the opportunity to meet and perform with well-known artists.

After our sons were born, we decided it was time to take a new direction, so we created a privately owned trucking company, RAN Express and for several years, we held contracts with major steel factories and companies and had many 18 wheelers hauling steel primarily in the Midwest. Steel hauling soon took it toll on us, and since we were no longer having fun, we decided to close down that company and take some time to reflect, think and create a new company called All Trades Contractors and for several years we learned the trades by rehabbing other peoples real estate properties, which eventually evolved into buying, rehabbing, selling and managing our own multi-family and single family and commercial real estate properties.

Randy felt and sensed the real estate bubble was about to burst, so in 2005 we started selling all of our real estate holdings. We did it just in time.

Growing up as a skater, I always wanted to own a skating rink and when the opportunity came to me in 2006, me and my husband Randy, purchased the old Olympic Skate World in Richton Park, IL. In the picture below, you will see in the top row from left to right, my daughter-in-law Donyale. That's me in the middle, then my daughter-in-law Theresa. Bottom row, left to right is my son, Mark, my husband Randy, and my son Buddy. We are all skaters, so it seemed only fitting to open a skating rink. We of course remodeled and renamed it, so be sure to visit me at my new gig:

Oh yeah, if you still skate, or your kids or your grand kids skate, come on out to Rich City during any of our open skate sessions and mention the "CVS Class of 1971" to receive a $2.00 discount just for coming out.

You can ask for me, (Debbie) or Randy, (my husband) Buddy, Theresa or Mark (my kids) and bring the whole family for a day of Fun-You-Can-Feel.

Hope to see you soon at One Place, One Choice, Rich City.
