School Story
My favorite school story was about Mr. Abrams, my honors Algebra teacher. Me and a couple of more students were suppose to go ome that night and have our parents call Mr. Abrams so he could tell them that we didn't do our homework the previous night (yeah, right!). In the meantime, while in class that day, we were suppose to be taking notes on that days lesson. Well while I was acting like I was taking notes, I was reallu writing a note to a boy, I knew from the hood who had a very mature deep voice, to act like he was my dad and call my teacher. I must've looked suspect because while he was teahing his lesson he walked right over to me and snatched the note and to my surprise and utter embarassment started reading the note out loud. So later that night he called to talk to my mom, I answered and of course I said you have the wrong number. Next thing I knew at 9 pm, my doorbell (which has never worked in the 10yrs we'd been living there) rings. Guess who came in and sat down to have dinner and Kool-Aid. I could have died when I saw his face. My mom was scared because the bell had never worked before and she didn't know what it was. But I kinda had a good idea. Since she was scared I told her don't answer it, it was just the neighborhood crackhead, and all but pushed her down to get her to not look out that window and see what I'd already looked out there and saw. Mr. Abrams face. So she backed up, next thing you knew he was hollering up to the window, "I'm here to see Tara Shelton's parent, I'm her Algebra teacher." I could have jumped right out the window, i knew I was in trouble. But noooo, that wasn't enough for Mr. Abrams. He had to come back the next day in the class and announce the events of the previous evening to the class. It's funny to me now but boy at the time I din't find it funny at all.
