As you probably remember, John's Mother was the school secretary. Can you imagine having to be on your best behavior all of the time? A trip to the principal's office meant walking past your Mother's desk. And the punishment at school was minor compared to what would happen when you got home!

I didn't see much of John after grade school, but after college we reconnected. A friend of John's was dating my roommate, so we would occasionally tag along on their dates. "Wilkie" was still the same old "Wilkie". No rough edges. Just a nice, funny, layed back kind of guy.

He died way too young.

John was one of our classmates that I did not connect with after high school. My memories of him are his great sense of humor, quiet unassuming character and a loyal friend.

If Denise receives this comments, I want to congratulate you on leading your Congregation.   I realize you may not appreciate the congratlations in this day.  Are you one for the Visitaton?

I would like to hear whet your mother is doing.  I surely enjoyed her at the school.  She was extremely efficient as well as being friendly and accessible.

I'm sorry to hear abougt John.   He must have learned, as well as you, he friendliness of your Mom.

Memories of John are always a fun guy who would go along with the program.  He was easy going, friendly and always laughing.  Rick Lynch and John were attached at the hip especially after grade school so we never had a dull moment with those two.  John, you are still missed.
