Robert  Lyle " Bob" Valentine , 62 died 2 :45 a.m.Thursday December 30, 2004 in Ohio State University Hospital following an extended illness.

He was born May 10, 1942 in Chillicothe, Ohio to Lyle Martin and Jeanette Elizabeth Miller Valentine. On June 20, 1965, he married Beverly Sue Metcalf, who survives.

In addition to his wife, survivors include 3 daughters, Angela ( Greg) Nartker, of Waverly. Teri ( Tom) Burger, and Kathi ( Shannon ) Gumm, all of Chillicothe; a son Douglas ((Linda) Valentine, of Chillicothe; 9 grandchildren, Makaela and Tyler Nartker, Amanda Detty, Dalton Burger, Morgan and Madison Gumm, Ryan, Kaylee and Conner Valentine; a sister, Barbara Hebel of Decauter, Illinois. He was predeceased in death by his parents and a sister, Carol Alexander.

Mr. Valentine was a member of the First Presbytereian Church and had retired from the Mead Corporation as a maintenance supervisor after 40 years of service.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m.Sunday at Haller's.
