Oliver Wendell Cousins

Oliver Wendell Cousins, Jr. ,77, of Chillicothe, died December 28th, 2018 following an extended illness. 

He was born November 30th, 1941 in Chillicothe to the late Oliver W. and Alberta C. Austin Cousins. On March 27th, 1970 he married Betty Jean Hatfield Ragland, who suvies. Also surviving are his children  by his first wife, Jusith Richardson Cousins.(deceased ) Andrea and Oliver Cousins !!! ; two children  by his marraige to Betty; Oliver ( Samantha ) Cousins and John Ragland Jr. , all of Chillicothe.; his grandchildre Anthony " AJ " and Summer, Jordan ( Ashley ) , Kanbree, Joshua, Kylie, Jensyn, Olivia, Kyle ( Mindy )Kenny, Aaron, Kiana, Aidenand Delaney; greatgrandchildren, Caiden, Bruce, Austin, Christopher, Alayia, Carter, and Noah; a sister, Donna Hammond of Columbus, sisters-in-law Rosemary Wimbley, Linda Hatfield, Nancy ( Rudy ) Albrighton, brothers-in-laws Glenn Hatfield, Scott Netter and Richard Austin, a special nephew Mike Steed. He was preceded in death by a grandson Cory.

Ollie retired from Chilpaco after 38 years of service and was a United States Marine. He was a mamber of Zion Baptist Church, a 50 year member  and Past Master Ionic Masonic Lodge 6, Right Worship District Grand Deputy Prince Hall Grand Lodge 6, St. Elizabeth Chapter 6 Order of the Eastern Star, Taylor commandery 6. Knights Templar 6 AASR 21 Easton Commandery  26 and Alla Baba Temple 53. He was past presidnet of the Rocc County Labor Council, past president of Loca 988 and Coach of Ollie's Dollies softball team. He volunteered with the American Red Cross and served during Hurricane Katrina,

Fuberal Servives will be held 12:00 pm at Zion Baptist Church, Rev. J. Troy Gray officiating.  Military Graveside services , concucted by the Ross Dounty Veterans Honoe Guard will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service at the Church.
